Davis inked an early contract extension over the summer, securing his presence with the Lakers until 2028, with a staggering $177 million over the next three years. However, when asked about James' remarks, Davis modestly responded, "The Lakers belong to the team, and I'm just one part of it."
"As the second-oldest player on this team now, the younger guys look up to me," explained the 30-year-old. "So, I have a responsibility to be a leader alongside Bron and help motivate and guide these young players." Davis also shared his personal goal of playing all 82 games in the upcoming season.
